dc.description.abstractIn this communication, an attempt has been made to obtain an analytical expression for the retention period of a given capacity biogas plant. It has been shown that the use of solar energy reduces the retention period. The proposed mathematical model can be used to test any solar assisted biogas plant. The results on parametric studies have been analytically carried out.en
