dc.description.abstractThe design of a self-tuning power system stabiliser (PSS) using the pole-shifting technique is presented. The controller uses a state-feedback law, whose gains are evaluated from the pole-shifting factor. The proposed method is simple and computationally efficient. The dynamic performance of the proposed PSS is quite satisfactory and the PSS adapts extremely quickly to varying operating conditionsen
