dc.description.abstractCompressional behaviour of nonwoven fabrics depends on various raw material characteristics. Experiments to see the effect of fibre denier on the compressional behaviour of needle-punched nonwoven fabrics of different mass per unit area have been carried out. The effect of percentage of finer fibre content in different layers on the compressional behaviour of layered needle-punched nonwoven fabrics of polyester and polypropylene fibres has been reported. Relationships have been proposed to predict the compressional behaviour of two needle-punched nonwoven fabrics in series.en
