dc.description.abstractThis communication presents the performance parameters of a solar house integrated with an air heater on its south wall for space heating applications. A periodic approach has been adopted by writing the time dependent energy balance equations for the different components of the air heater and the room in terms of the system as well as the climatological parameters to evaluate the performance of the solar house for a typical cold day, 10 January 1989 in Delhi. Use of isothermal mass in the system has been made to achieve minimum fluctuation in room temperature throughout day and night hours.en
