Abstract: A new spectrum analysis technique for linear, direct measurement of dynamic phase shift in an unstabilised, no-phase bias optical homodyne interferometer is described. A minimum detectable phase shift of 0.01 rad is demonstrated for a fiber sensor/ modulator configuration.
