dc.description.abstractThe thermal performance of a commercial solar hot water system for a constant delivery temperature is investigated as a function of various parameters, mass flow rate, heat exchanger parameters, collector parameters, number of collector panels etc. For a constant delivery temperature, the energy balance equations are solved using an iterative method to predict the thermal efficiency of the system. On the basis of the computational results, the conclusions are (i) the thermal efficiency of the system decreases with an increase in the area of the collector panel and increases with an increase in the length of the heat exchanger, and (ii) the duration of operation of the system decreases with an increase in the constant delivery temperature.en
