dc.description.abstractIn this communication, an attempt has been made to develop a modified Nusselt number for a trapezoidal cavity, which can be used for evaluation of convective mass transfer in a solar distillation process. The modified expression has been obtained by regression analysis using experimental data and from simulations for different environment conditions. It is observed that there is a reasonable agreement between experimental observations and theoretical results calculated by the modified Nusseh number expression for a higher operating temperature range (2 60°C).en
