| Abstract: | Gold electrodes modiÆed with self assembled monolayers (SAMs) of bis(4-pyridyl) disulfde show satisfactory operational
stability and a suppression of Faradaic response to dioxygen, hydrogen peroxide and ascorbic acid is noticed. Immobilization
of glucose oxidase, through glutaraldehyde coupling, into the SAM yielded electrodes which responded to glucose in the
presence of a soluble mediator, ferrocenecarboxylic acid. |
