Abstract: | A vibration and damping analysis based on individual layer deformation is presented for
axisymmetric vibrations of laminated composite material conical shells The analysis includes consideration of bending extension and ansverse shear deformations in each of the laminate ayers and also includes its rotary meridional and circumferential translatory and transverse inertias The Galerkin method has been applied for finding the approximate solutions for the simply supported conical shells The respondence principle of linear viscoelasticity has been used to evaluate the damping e}ectiveness of the shell The variations of the resonance frequencies and of the associated system loss factors with ber orientation angles and cone apex angles for axisymmetric vibrations of cross!ply and angle-ply ber reinforced plastic conical shells are reported. |
