Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to study the natural convection flow on both sides of an impermeable horizontal partition separating two semi-infinite fluid saturated porous reservoirs maintained at different temperatures. As a result conjugate boundary layers are formed on both sides of the parition. Heat is transferred from the hot side to the cold side through a thermally conducting partition. It is shown that an increase in thermal resistance of the wall reduces the net heat transfer rate across the partition. |
