| Abstract: | Monoanionic tridentate ligands LHa and LHb containing ONSe and ONTe donor sequences and their Pd2+ and Pt2+ derivatives were synthesized and characterized. The formation of a five- and a six-membered ring around the central metal atom and associative phenomena in solutions provide extra stability to the metal complexes. |
